Apple today released their all-new lineup of iPods for the 2010 shopping season, including a new iPod shuffle, new iPod nano with touch, and a new iPod touch with the retina display plus front & rear cameras. Apple also released a new version of Apple TV.
The new 2010 iPod touch features Apple’s new retina display, Apple’s A4 processor, front and rear cameras, and is even thinner than the previous generation. The new touch starts at $229 for the 8GB model, $299 for the 32GB touch, and $399 for the 64GB model. It ships next week and is available for order today.
The new 2010 iPod nano features a new squarish form factor with a clip plus an all-new touch display. Price points remain the same as the previous models, with an 8GB nano at $149 and a 16GB model available for $179. The nano includes similar features as the previous model, such as Nike integration and an FM radio tuner, but in a much smaller form and with a touch display. Several colors are available. The new 2010 iPod nano ships next week and is available for order today.
The new 2010 iPod shuffles return to its second-generation squarish form factor with front-facing clickwheel-style buttons and a clip on the back. The 2GB model sells for $49. Five different colors are available. Apple is accepting orders today, with the new shuffle shipping next week.
Apple redesigned the new 2010 Apple TV to feature a much smaller form factor with no internal storage. It’s designed to interface with your TV or accepting streaming video, music, and photos from any iOS device or a Mac. With no internal storage, you rent content with the Apple TV, from Hollywood movies and TV shows, to Netflix. The new 2010 Apple TV is available from Apple today for $99 and will ship in about four weeks time.
