iPhone 5S To Be Powered By A7 Quad-Core CPU and GPU, 2 GB of RAM, iOS 7

iOSDoc’s DanielVanEngel has posted what he says is an exclusive photo of the iPhone 5S motherboard with Apple’s forthcoming A7 processor supplied by a very reliable source.

The report says the iPhone 5S’s Apple A7 processor will clocked at 1.2Ghz and iOS 7, with the phone’s form factor probably very much similar to the current iPhone 5, with only hardware and software improvements, as well as iOS 7 which is projected to include a highly improved Siri, able to do a lot of new cool stuff, plus widgets and an improved notifications center.

VanEngel expects the new A7 SoC to be much faster than Apple’s dual-core A6, and to also bring the PowerVR quad-core SGX554MP4 graphics processor featured in the 4th generation iPad to the iPhone, and that upgrading from 1GB of LPDDR2-1066 RAM to 2GB of dual-channel LPDDR-800 memory should improve performance and multitasking even more faster, but all the added power raises concern about battery life.
