Get Textkraft iPad Text Processor Today For Free
The good folks at Infovole tell me that in celebration of at least the official arrival of spring, they’re offering their flagship iPad text processor app Textkraft be available for free, worldwide, but only for a limited period of time, starting Tuesday, March 25th and ending the next day (links below). Textkraft, one of the best text apps I’ve used on the iPad normally sells for $3.99.
A text processor a writing app that offers more more tools and features than a basic text editor, but doesn’t support full word processor abilities like text formatting, styles, footnotes, and page layout. It’s the tool I frequently choose for composition.
Textkraft’s marquee feature is an extended keyboard with additional special characters, functions,and symbols that are missing on the iOS default keyboard. Two of my personal favorite Textkraft additional keys are a capitalization toggle key and a Forward Delete key. Cursor keys are better than on a real, freestanding keyboard with eight keys and 10 functions. Quick selection-markers for word, sentence and paragraph make for much less finger-movement hassle, and there’s a handy Undo/Redo- and history-function for testing various phrasings.
Textkraft’s search dialog supports regular search, find and replace, and you can specify case sensitive and entire word only search parameters. You can open up to five documents at the same time and cycle through them instantly using a small button array at the bottom of the screen.
There are no in-app purchases, and features include an extensive dictionary with synonyms and possible follow-ups. The font menu features a point size slider, and three line-spacing buttons for the ten different fonts supported. LoThere are also six color theme choices.
