Primate Labs Releases July 2014 MacBook Pro Performance Benchmarks

Primate Labs’ John Poole has posted Geekbench 3 results for most of the new MacBook Pro models that Apple released on Tuesday.

Poole observes that overall performance improvements for the new MacBook Pros are modest and unsurprising since both 2013 and the 2014 models use Intel Haswell family Core i processors, so all of the performance gains in the latest iterations derive from slightly higher clock speeds, and we’ll have to wait for the next-gen Broadwell processors (currently scheduled for mid-2015) to see more signficant improvements in MacBook Pro performance.
