Brother Announces Apple AirPrint Support for RuggedJet 3 Mobile Printer

Broomfield, Colorado, based Brother Mobile Solutions, Inc. (BMS) has announced that its RuggedJet 3 Wi-Fi mobile receipt and label printer now supports Apple’s AirPrint wireless technology.

Available immediately, the new RuggedJet 3 Wi-Fi with AirPrint enables users to print wirelessly and directly from iPhone, iPad and iPod touch without the need to download additional print drivers or interfaces. The RuggedJet 3 joins the Brother RuggedJet 4 Wi-Fi Series in providing AirPrint compatibility. Current users of both the RJ-3 and RJ-4 Wi-Fi printers can add support for AirPrint wireless technology via a simple, free firmware update available by Brother.

Two versions of the RuggedJet 3 Wi-Fi mobile printer with AirPrint support are now available the RJ-3050 and RJ-3150 label and receipt printers. The RJ-3050 model, ideal for associate-friendly in-store POS applications, features a large, full-color graphical LCD display for optimal ease of use. Intuitive navigation and interactive menus allow for fast, easy printing of 1-inch to 3-inch wide shelf edge labels, POS receipts and product labels and tags. Sleek and compact, the handheld printers are ruggedly constructed and engineered for long-term, reliable performance. Both models come with Brother’s exclusive two-year bumper-to-bumper warranty.

With built-in dual wireless connectivity via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the new RuggedJet 3 offers reliable operational mobility inside, outside, or virtually anywhere in the store.
