Rumor: 11-Inch MacBook Air Out; 15-inch MacBook Air In?

Japanese Apple-Watcher Site Macotakara says that according to information from a “reliable Chinese supplier”, Apple is planning to announce a new MacBook Air sometime this month (WWDC?), with shipping to retailers starting in August.

Macotakara also notes there have been rumors that the 11-inch Air will be discontinued, with an updated 13-inch Air continued along with a new 15-inch Air, which would contradict rumors of the MacBook Air’s imminent demise, and that Apple will announce a complete overhaul and redesign of new MacBook Pro at the same time.

All of these new/updated MacBook models are expected to come with USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 ports and no longer be compatible with USB-A and Thunderbolt 2 ports (adapters will be available), and the MagSafe 2 charge port will be eliminated with a switch to USB-C charging.
