iPhone 5S Reportedly In Trial Production For Launch In Q1 2013

The Chinese language Commercial Times ‘s Jia-Xi Liu reports that Apple has quietly begun a trial production run of the iPhone 5S, which is projected to ship in volume in the first quarter of 2013, with Apple apparently planning to throw its one-upgrade-per-year hardware policy out the proverbial window.

Digitimes’ Steve Shen has posted a summary of the Commercial Times report, noting that Apple is expected to begin trial production of a new version of its iPhone 5 — the iPhone 5S — in December, with initial production volumes likely to top 50,000-100,000 units.
