Fifth-gen iPad, Second-gen iPad mini To Debut In March – Rumor

Appleinsider’s Neil Hughes maintains that Apple’s iPad lineup is now on a twice-a-year refresh cycle, according to a new rumor, which pegs both the full-size iPad and iPad mini as being due for updates in March. Hughes cites Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White reporting that his industry insider sources at last week’s CES trade show indicated both a fifth-generation iPad and second-generation iPad mini will be rolled out in March, just five months after the last iPad refreshes were announced, with his sources predicting that the fifth-generation iPad will be lighter and thinner than the gen-4 model Apple released last October 23, while the the iPad mini is expected to retain the same form factor but get faster silicon than the getting-long-in-the-tooth A5 SoE currently used, but no menton made of a mini Retina display.
