iPad Impales Nissan Bumper, Extracted With Hammer, Still Works

ABC57 News’s Peter Johnson reports that an Atlanta woman saw an object sailing through the air toward her car, braked and stopped, but never heard or felt an impact, so continued on her way. However, upon reaching her destination she discovered a 9.7-inch iPad had impaled her Nissan’s bumper so deeply that it took some blows with a hammer to extract it.

Nevertheless, the iPad still worked, and she was able to start it up, determine the owner’s name and phone number, and return his tablet, which it turned out he had laid on the roof of his car and absent-mimdedly drove off without retrieving it.
