PCPro Reviews MacBook Air 13in (mid-2013)

PCPro’s Sasha Muller notes that the latest MacBook Air introduced at the WWDC keynote, despite rumors, got no Retina display, and stayed with an identical chassis to last year’s model, the dramatic change being Intel’s Haswell mobile processors, but nevertheless the MacBook Air remains a stunning piece of design with absolutely top-notch build quality.

Apple also swapped out the mSATA SSD of previous models for faster PCI Express-based flash storage, and the Haswell silicon sends battery life soaring and comes with a faster Intel HD Graphics 5000 chipset,.

And while that Air’s 13.3in, 1,440 x 900 resolution display has fewer pixels than various Full HD Ultrabooks, image quality is excellent, plus ergonomics remain another MacBook Air strong point, Muller observes.
