Microsoft Bing To Be Default Search Engine For OS X 10.10 Yosemite Spotlight

Bishop says that an overhauled version of OS X Spotlight search will rely on Bing for web searches has been confirmed by Microsoft, noting that last year Bing became the default web search for iOS Siri.

Suits me fine. I’ve been pretty much switched to Bing as my go-to search engine for some time. It’s fast and reliable too, and seems just as efficient as Google in finding whatever I’m looking for, and indeed at times it seeems even faster and capable of yielding more useful results than Google.

Since its 2009 rollout, Bing has steadily been slowly gaining market share, which I find unsurprising given how good it is.
