5.5-Inch iPhone 6 Could Be Delayed Well Into Q4/14 Or Even 2015 – Analyst

I tend to take unreleased Apple product rumors with a big grain of salt, but KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has a pretty strong record of accurate prediction, so his suggesting that the 5.5″ iPhone 6 may be delayed due to production problems with the yield rate of in-cell touchscreens, color unevenness of metal enclosures, and the 5.5″ model’s sapphire cover glass should not be lightly dismissed.

Mr. Kuo’s latest research note suggests that consequent to the issues cites, the 5.5-inch iPhone’s launch date could be pushed back to late fall 2014, or possibly even into 2015.

A pertinent side-issue is what would such a delay do to the anticipated iPad upgrade to A8 silicon, fingerprint scanning and a 8 megapixel rear-facing camera?
