One In Four To One In Five Windows PC Owners Intend Switching To Mac – Survey

A Verto Analytics Smart Poll of current Windows owners (among U.S. adults, ages 18 and above) asked rspondents if they planned to buy an Mac as their next computer (either laptop or desktop) in the next 6-24 months. Current Mac owners also asked about their intentions to switch to a Windows machine within the next 6-24 months.

According the Verto Smart Poll results, nearly all (98% or more) current Mac owners intend to buy another Mac as their next computer, but nearly 21% of current Windows laptop owners and 25% of current Windows desktop owners (that’s one in four and one in five respectively) affirmed intent to switch to a Mac within the next six months.

Moreover, current upper income Windows owners (those with average incomes of $150,000 or greater) showed the highest likelihood of switching to Mac with 20% intending to switch as opposed to about 14% in lower income groups (making $20,000 or less annually).
