QuickerTek Announces External Battery For USB Type-C 2015-2017 MacBook And MacBook Pro

QuickerTek has announced their USB Type-C Most Versatile eyeBattery, claimed to be the only product of its kind, featuring the USB 3.1 adapter cable necessary to power and charge the 2015-2017 MacBook and MacBook Pro 13″ and 15″. Users of these current and recent model MacBooks can now travel freely and charge their computer anywhere — not just where there is a power outlet.

This battery has been especially designed to provide a portable power source for MacBooks with USB-C 3.1 ports. It is created with Lithium-ion power cells for the highest charge density possible, adding up to 18 hours in extra run time for the USB-C MacBook and 16 hours for the 15″ USB-C MacBook Pro. For even more productivity, the Most Versatile eyeBattery also charges and powers the MacBook simultaneously. It is ideal for extended travel as well as outdoor time.

Every battery is shipped with a 120/240 Vac external smart battery recharger and USB-C (3.1) adapter cable, for immediate use. No drivers and no extra cables are needed. It is no longer necessary for users to carry an Apple recharger either. This battery also includes a USB type 2/3 charging 5.1 VDC at 2A for most USB devices such as iPhones and iPads.

Total recharge time for this battery is two hours. Smart circuitry in the battery prevents overcharging and overheating. The anodized, machined aluminum case features a 10-LED power gauge to show percentage charge levels of the external battery. Each battery is tested before shipment by running movies on a MacBook continuously.

* Dimensions: 6.125″ x 8.25″ x .875″

The USB-C MacBook External Battery sells for $399 (USD). This battery is also compatible with QuickerTek’s USB Type-C Solar Panel Chargers. For more information visit:
