Apple introduces updated iPad and all-new iPad mini
Apple today released an updated 10″ iPad featuring an A13 Bionic processor capable of 20% faster performance. Apple also updated the new iPad with a 12MP ultra wide camera with Center Stage and True Tone display. The new 2021 10.2″ iPad features the same basic design as before, will run iPadOS 15, and starts at $329 ($299 for Education). It’s available for order today and will shipping next week.
Apple also unveiled an all-new, completely redesigned iPad mini. The new mini features an edge-to-edge 8.3″ liquid metal display with True Tone and updated internal components to bring it up to date with iPads like the Air. Even with the new display, the mini has the same footprint as before Other new features include the following:
– 500 nits brightness
– New colors: purple, pink, gray, and starlight
– Touch ID button on top edge of case
– 40% faster CPU performance, 80% faster GPU
– USB-C port
– 5G support
– 12MP ultra wide camera with Center Stage
– New speaker system
– Apple Pencil 2 support and iPad keyboard support
The new iPad mini will start at $499 and be available for order today, with shipping available next week.
