Will Apple release a larger, more feature-rich, HomePod?

The rumors about a larger HomePod from Apple have been swirling for some time now. Reports from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggest that Apple is working on a HomePod that would be larger than the HomePod mini and closer in size to the original HomePod. This new version of the HomePod is expected to be released sometime in 2023 and could be priced somewhere around $150 to $200.

The new HomePod is rumored to feature a multi-touch display on the top for physical control purposes, along with an S8 processor, the same processor that’s in the Apple Watch Series 8. It is also said to have an improved design and sound quality that is closer to the original HomePod.

In addition to the larger HomePod, Apple is also rumored to be releasing a refreshed version of the HomePod mini, as well as an Apple TV and HomePod hybrid device. This device is said to be a set-top box with high-end audio capabilities, and could feature a camera for video calls. Finally, Apple has also been experimenting with a HomePod and iPad hybrid device, which would feature a robotic arm to connect the two and allow for video calls.

Overall, Apple is rumored to be releasing a variety of new HomePod products in 2023-2024, ranging from a larger HomePod to a HomePod and iPad hybrid device. These products will offer improved sound quality and design, as well as a variety of new features and capabilities.
