Apple announced the latest Mac Studio and Mac Pro today, the most powerful Macs ever made. The Mac Studio is up to 6x faster than the most powerful Intel-based 27-inch iMac, and up to 3x faster than its predecessor with M1 Ultra.
The Mac Pro, now featuring M2 Ultra, is up to 3x faster than the previous-generation Intel-based model. Both Mac Studio and Mac Pro incorporate up to 192GB of unified memory, enabling them to handle workloads that other systems can’t. The new Mac Pro completes the Mac transition to Apple silicon and, together with the rest of Apple’s pro systems, provides users with the most powerful and capable lineup of products ever. The Mac Studio starts at $1,999 and $1,799 for education, while the Mac Pro (Tower Enclosure) begins at $6,999 and $6,599 for education. The Mac Pro (Rack Enclosure) starts at $7,499 and $6,999 for education.
Orders are available today at Apple, with deliveries starting on June 13th.
