At $999, Apple’s 13-inch M2 MacBook Air is the new value leader

With today’s introduction of the new 13-inch M3 MacBook Air for $1099, Apple dropped prices on the previous-generation 13-inch M2 MacBook Air to $999. At the same time, Apple discontinued the 13-inch M1 MacBook Air that it had previous sold for $999 (now available for only $749 at Best Buy).

The $999 13″ M2 MacBook Air is Apple’s new value leader. And it represents a much better buy than the previous M1 model, with a new chassis and far better internals, as well as an updated design. The base model features 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage, or you can step up to a 512GB SSD and M2 CPU with an 10-Core GPU for $1199.
