MacBook Air vs MacBook Pro Retina

T-GAAP’s Karl Johnston notes that Apple currently has three different 13-inch MacBooks in its product lineup, and the 13-inchers are the most popular Mac models, with the Standard MacBook Pro – formerly the overall best-selling Mac – still available for users who need an optical drive built-in or a high capacity hard drive built-in.

However of one of those features isn’t a requirement, Johnston suggests giving the old-school MacBook Pro a pass, as he does in this comparo of
the 13-inch MacBook Air and MacBook Pro Retina models. He notes that these two models are closely comparable and it may be difficult to decide which one to buy, although the Air’s lower price will be the deciding factor for budget-conscious buyers, but power users will want the Retina MacBook Pro.
