Apple Still Number One In CoolBrands Annual Survey

CoolBrands is an eclectic collection of some of the coolest brands in Britain, chosen by an independent Expert Council and thousands of members of the public. Since 2001, CoolBrands have been canvassing the opinions of experts and consumers to produce a barometer of Britain’s coolest brands, people and places. Each brand featured has qualified for inclusion based on the collective opinions of the Expert Council and more than 2,000 members of the British public.

In the 2013/’14 CoolBrands Survey, Apple retained its traditional Number One ranking, with the remaining top ten slots respectively awarded to Aston Martin, Rolex, Nike, Glastonbury, YouTube, Google, Twitter, Virgin Atlantic, and Ray-Ban, edging out Mercedes-Benz and Bang & Olafsun in the 11th and 12th spots.

Shifts from last year included Aston Martin moving up one notch, anr Rolex, which didn’t make the list last year, now sitting in third.

However, Stephen Cheliotis, chairman of the CoolBrands council, told SkyNews that: “While Apple remained number one this year, question marks remain as to how long they might hold this position in the face of an increasingly competitive set of rivals.”
