The Guardian MAXimus, available in capacities up to 6TB + 6TB, adds tremendous storage capacity and throughput to any Mac or PC with USB 3.0, eSATA, FireWire 800, or FireWire 400. It’s an ideal external drive for backing up mission critical data such as financial records, accounting data, medical files, business projects, and Time Machine backups with sustained data rates up to 238MB/s read, 245MB/s write.

Zero Downtime
– The Guardian MAXimus is Plug and Play ready in RAID-1 mode, for “mirrored” data across two drives. In the event of a single drive failure, the second drive holds all the data intact, allowing the user to continue working, accessing data without interruption. Once the failed drive is replaced, the new drive is automatically mirrored to restore data redundancy.
