September is 2015 International Blood Cancer Awareness Month, and September 15 as World Lymphoma Awareness Day — so-designated since 2004 by the Lymphoma Coalition, a non-profit network organisation of 63 lymphoma patient groups from 44 countries around the world to raise public awareness of the blood cancers Hodgkin’s and non- Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Even though more than one million people worldwide (including some 327,520 Americans) are living with lymphoma, and nearly 1,000 new cases are diagnosed every day globally, there continues to be very little awareness of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma signs and symptoms.

Focus On Lymphoma, developed by the Lymphoma Research Foundation, is the first mobile application that provides patients and caregivers with comprehensive content based on their lymphoma subtype, and tools to help manage their diagnosis and treatment. The app allows users to record doctor sessions, manage medications, keep track of blood work results and document treatment side effects.

Focus On Lymphoma Tools

Learn: Focus On Lymphoma provides users with content tailored to their subtype and disease stage. It contains information on diagnosis, treatment, clinical trials and survivorship. Content can be easily sent via email to a patient’s caregivers and healthcare team and the convenient notes section allows users to save questions to review later.

Track: Focus On Lymphoma features a full suite of customized tools to help patients manage their lymphoma, including a medicine manager to track medication schedules and set reminders; a blood counts section to chart blood work results; a symptoms tracker to track symptom severity; and a doctor sessions tool box, which facilitates meetings with healthcare providers.

Connect: Focus On Lymphoma connects patients with resources available through the Lymphoma research Foundation, including direct access to the LRF Helpline and Lymphoma Support Network. The app also links users to Foundation education programs, advocacy efforts, chapter network and more.
