Can Your Mac Run MacOS Sierra 10.12?

According to Apple’s onstage presentation at WWDC 2016 on Monday, Macintosh systems supported by macOS Sierra 10.12 are::

MacBook Pro (2010 and later)
MacBook Air (2010 and later)
Mac Mini (2010 and later)
Mac Pro (2010 and later)
MacBook (Late 2009 and later)
iMac (Late 2009 and later)

Well, my old late 2008 Core 2 Duo MacBook has had a great run, and still handles OS X 10.11 El Capitan quite well, but evidently that’s the end of the OS upgrade road for it. Hopefully Apple will continue to issue security patches for some time to come once macOS 10.12 Sierra is released.
