WhistleOut, a company based in Encinitas, California — a search engine on the internet which, since 2008, has provided accurate and unbiased results for wireless telecommunications services (and also provides independent comparisons, reviews, guides, and information on deals and discounts) — is searching for the perfect candidate to provide for its website a comprehensive review of the upcoming release of Apple’s smartphone model for 2019.

The best part of it all is that the company will provide you, free of charge, with the new iPhone which you will get to keep in the end. On top of that, you will be paid $1,000 for your time.

How’s that for some great job perks?

According to information from WhistleOut, the duties and responsibilities of the dream job will entail:

  • putting the new iPhone through its paces
  • testing each new feature on the phone (a log will be provided for you to report on its performance and quality)
  • seeing what kind of battery life you’re able to squeeze out of it
  • testing the camera
  • getting into the “nitty gritty” of the interface
  • providing insights into how the phone compares to earlier models, whether or not it’s worth the price tag, and which new features are most useful

A review form will be provided to you and the written review must be submitted within one week of receiving the new iPhone from WhistleOut.

An advance payment of $400 will be paid upfront and once the review has been submitted the remaining $600 will be paid to you. The company notes in its terms and conditions that this payment is considered a stipend for the review and is subject to all applicable state and federal taxes.

In order to apply for the job, you must be at least 18 years of age — or otherwise have reached the age of majority under the laws of the state where you reside — and you must be a resident of the United States to be eligible. There is no entry fee or purchase necessary to apply.

A panel of employees from WhistleOut will review all applications and select the applicant who is most qualified based on their previous experience with iPhones and writing and/or reviewing. Applications are open now through September 2, 2019.

The next version of the iPhone is widely expected to be released by Apple this Fall, as early as September (last year’s 2018 models were announced in October). Tech specs, features, and prices have not been confirmed though some details, as reported earlier this year back in January by the Wall Street Journal, suggest that Apple once again will be releasing three iPhone models as part of its 2019 lineup.

While this year’s Apple smartphone does not have an official name yet — WhistleOut has referred to it as the “iPhone 11” and even the “iPhone XI” — one rumor tweeted out a week and a half ago by a reliable source on Twitter suggests that one of the models to be released, the high end version, will be given the “iPhone Pro” moniker.
